Project Engineer
Job Overview:
STONE Engineering is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to lead challenging structural engineering projects from initial evaluation and design through final clearances and submissions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exercise independent engineering judgment, and effectively manage multiple projects while collaborating with architects, contractors, and clients. The Engineer will provide technical guidance to project teams, oversee design development, and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with applicable codes, industry standards, and STONE's commitment to excellence. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and lead the structural design of projects from initial assessment through construction completion.
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules using AutoCAD and other engineering software.
- Conduct site surveys, condition assessments, construction inspections, and emergency investigations throughout New York City's five boroughs.
- Perform structural evaluations and feasibility studies, developing practical and code-compliant engineering solutions.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Review construction documents for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to project schedules.
Experience:
Commercial and Residential Building and Construction Industry in NYC, min. 5 years of experience (Preferred)
License:
A valid PE license (in NY Preferred)
Senior Project Manager
Job Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with STONE's quality standards.
- Develop project strategies, establish schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Prepare and oversee technical reports, contract documents, cost estimates, specifications, bid packages, and construction documentation.
- Conduct and oversee field investigations, condition assessments, and construction inspections to verify compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to define project objectives, resolve technical challenges, and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
- Lead residential, commercial, and restoration projects through all phases of planning, design, permitting, and construction administration.

- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure project milestones, schedules, budgets, and deliverables are achieved.

Drafter
Job Overview:
Join STONE Engineering & Architecture as our next detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, organizing, and maintaining architectural and engineering CAD backgrounds in accordance with the firm's drafting standards and established procedures. Working closely with engineers, designers, and project managers, the Drafter will support a variety of projects by producing accurate, high-quality drawings and assisting with project-specific drafting throughout all phases of design. Comprehensive training on STONE's CAD standards and workflows will be provided to ensure a successful transition, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and modify accurate construction drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD in accordance with company standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers with drafting, document preparation, and project coordination throughout all phases of a project.
- Prepare field observation reports, existing conditions reports, and other project documentation using Microsoft Office applications.
- Maintain organized project files and support multiple projects while meeting established deadlines.
- Assist with 3D modeling and visualization efforts using software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
- Support graphic presentations and project exhibits using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as needed.
